WHAT DOES THIS PICTURE SHOW? A CONVERSATION ABOUT ONE PHOTOGRAPH

Once a Swiss photographer Niels Ackermann has got a job to make photos of Slavytych architecture. That would’ve been a routine uninteresting task if not for Slavutych residents whom he has met. Several year in a row Niels was visiting Slavutych and followed the live of local youth. In 2015 his project, The White Angel, has received a prestige Best Swiss Photo award. The international audience was thrilled about his project, but in Ukraine it brought up polarizing opinions. What does his picture really show?
