SYNOPSIS

 

The first day in school, the first step into the new stage of life. From now on there will be new responsibilities, duties, and necessity to make decisions. Yesterday you were just Anton, now you’re a first grade student. You’re wearing a classic suit with a national embroidery tie. You are a Ukrainian schoolboy. The relatives will gather, they will take pictures, they will patronize you to make you stand still, and someone will even call you a weirdo. But only this morning, before breakfast, you were just playing in your room, and it was fine. Now, during one day, you will have to make a time leap. Since now you will be burdened with a new social roles.

 

BIOGRAPHY OF DIRECTOR

 

Natalya Shevchenko studied Ecology and Journalism in Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. From 2013-14 she worked as a journalist and photographer for National Geographic Ukraine. In 2014 she participated in GogolFEST summer school of documentary filmmaking during which she made her film To School. In fall 2015 she co-founded the B Wild project which aims to produce the popular science documentaries on nature all over the world and in Ukraine.
