On April 2nd, the “86” IFFU’s crowdfuding campaign at Spilnokosht came to its end. In two months, we managed to collect 125 882 UAH, which exceeds our primary goal of 120 000 UAH by 5%.
164 benefactors have made their contributions. More than 30 friends and partners supported the campaign and organized offline activities in Kyiv, Lviv and Odessa. More that 20 organisations and media platforms provided their information support.
The Spilnokosht contributors were rewarded with tokens of gratitude. As part of the campaign, our supporters “bought” 44 festival passes, 16 party tickets, 5 personal consultations and 70 branded festival gifts.
10% of the total amount was collected during offline events attended by around 200 people – film screenings, lectures and the city tour. To celebrate the campaign’s closure, we organized a party and an auction at the Plivka space in Kyiv. The auction lots were provided by contemporary artists including Zhanna Kadyrova, Anatolyi Belov and Oleksandr Kurmaz.
The amount of money collected through crowdfunding will be doubled by the International Renaissance Foundation. Thus, the festival will cover 10% of its total budget.
The “86” IFFU has already confirmed half of the full-length films of this year’s programme. The rights for the second half will be covered by the crowdfunding effort. The money will also provide for film translation, subtitling and tickets for the festival’s special guests.
